What BaseStep™ Teaches
BaseStep™ is a practical conflict resolution and communication training that helps participants support others without giving advice, gossiping, or automatically agreeing with one side. Using restorative questions and a needs-based approach, the training helps staff guide people through processing conflict, understanding impact, and identifying thoughtful next steps.
Participants learn why advice-giving can sometimes shut down reflection or create more dependency, and how a more restorative approach can help people feel heard while still moving toward clarity and action. The training introduces practical communication skills for listening, asking questions, and helping others name what they need without taking over the situation.
By the end of the training, participants leave with a clear process for helping others work through workplace conflict and identify needs-based next steps that feel more constructive, supportive, and effective.
Pillar 1: Enhance Communication
Learn how to guide people without fixing the problem for them.

Testimonials
“What stood out most was how useful this was as an alternative to gossip. The training gave our team a way to support people, ask better questions, and move conversations toward accountability and problem-solving.”
Program Supervisor“This training gave our managers a much more thoughtful way to support staff through conflict. Instead of jumping into advice or taking sides, they learned how to help people process what happened and identify more grounded next steps.”
HR Director“BaseStep was incredibly practical. Our supervisors often want to help, but do not always know how to do that without overstepping or feeding the conflict. This gave them a clear process they can use right away.”
