  • Most communication breakdowns do not happen because of “bad intent.” They happen when information is too dense, full of jargon, or delivered in a way that does not match the client’s needs. This course teaches the core elements of accessible language so you can communicate with clarity, respect, and consistency, without overexplaining.

  • Unraveling Cultural Threads helps you make sense of the cultural factors that quietly shape trust, communication, and follow-through. Instead of treating culture like a checklist, you will learn what cultural “threads” look like in real life, including how disability can intersect with cultural identity. You will practice spotting where misunderstandings come from, and what to do differently in the moment without being awkward or making assumptions. The course includes an interactive game, realistic scenarios, and short reflections that turn awareness into practical next steps.

  • Cultural Competency Conversations builds on cultural humility as the base of cross-cultural interactions. Through curiosity and clarifying questions, cultural misunderstandings or conflicts can be de-escelated and addressed from a point of respect and cultural awareness.

  • Cultural Competency in Action builds capacities and skills to prevent culture related conflicts by learning about the norms and values that will show up in service delivery or collaboration. Using relationship building questions and a framework to talk about values and norms, after Cultural Competency In Action, people will be able to build cross-cultural relationships with confidence.
