What Mirage™ Teaches
Mirage™ is a practical workplace training that helps participants understand what implicit bias is, how it differs from explicit bias, and why unconscious assumptions can be so difficult to detect in ourselves. Grounded in brain science, reflection, and real-world application, the training helps staff make the invisible more visible so they can better understand how bias shapes perception, interactions, and decisions.
Participants explore how implicit bias can influence workplace behavior, contribute to microaggressions, and cause unintentional harm even when people have good intentions. The training also helps staff better understand the difference between intent and impact, and why that distinction matters when working with colleagues, teams, and the people they serve.
A key part of the training is learning how to use the Self-Interruption Tool™ to pause, reflect, and disrupt hidden assumptions before they turn into harmful behavior. The goal is to help participants build self-awareness, reduce harm, and create more mindful, equitable workplace interactions.
