What Conflict Restora™ Mediator Teaches
Conflict Restora Mediator™ is a practical mediator training and certification program designed for people who want to confidently facilitate conflict conversations and mediate challenging interpersonal situations.
This is not a theory-heavy training that leaves participants wondering what to do in real life. It is a highly practical learning experience focused on helping people understand the role of a mediator, build core facilitation skills, and practice the tools needed to support others through conflict.
Participants learn how to prepare for mediation, assess both sides of a conflict, facilitate structured dialogue, manage emotions and defensiveness, and guide people toward shared understanding and workable next steps. Throughout the program, participants actively practice with real-world scenarios, coaching, reflection, and structured feedback.
Pillar 1: Understanding the Role of a Mediator
Participants learn what it means to serve as a mediator, how mediation differs from coaching or managing, and how to create the conditions for a fair, grounded, and productive conversation.
Pillar 2: Building Core Mediation Skills
Participants build practical skills for facilitating hard conversations, asking effective questions, staying neutral, listening deeply, de-escalating tension, and helping parties move from conflict toward clarity.
Pillar 3: Practice, Tools, and Real-World Application
Participants practice using CircleUp tools and protocols in realistic scenarios so they leave with usable experience, not just concepts. The focus is on repetition, confidence, and learning how to facilitate in real settings.
